Message taking up a new hobby which would have been learning all there is to know about Haltech, car tuning and z car tuning. In the end, the cost of the Haltech hardware would be the tip of the iceberg compared to the time I would spend learning about it and messing around with it. If you are already into tuning, or can buy it without needing to learn everything about it, the Haltech is a good choice.

If you live in a state that changes the "Volatility class", I can almost guarantee that you will want to check your ethanol content every time you fill up even with the Haltech. You will want to know how good of fuel you bought. With the "flex fuel" tunes you can then toggle to the correct tune as you run the engine and the ethanol content stabilizes. It may take 30 seconds.

The tunes had my engine running very smooth. Even if you toggle up or down a few tunes from the correct one, it's still smooth. Ethanol is pretty forgiving.
